Associate Dean for Research Prof. Jelena Srebric
The Nebula Research Data Fellowship Program is sponsored by the Associate Dean for Research office in the Clark School of Engineering, an initiative designed to empower engineering undergraduate students with hands-on experience in research data analytics. This program focuses on providing students with research experiences using essential data science skills, fostering collaboration with academic researchers, and solving real-world problems across various engineering fields. The main program participants are undergraduate and graduate students in outstanding research laboratories at the UMD’s A. James Clark School of Engineering.
Our goals are to ...
Promote the development of a more diverse workforce capable of participating in data-driven industries and/or the U.S. research enterprise.
Enhance data literacy, research competencies, and team work among undergraduate students.
Forster critical-thinking and problem-solving skills through collaborative exploration.
On May 9, the final meeting of the Spring 2025 Nebula Fellowship took place. Undergraduate fellows presented their research to the group, including the Nebula research mentors. We discussed the exciting things they learned about STEM research, data analytics, and future steps for the program. Thank you fellows and congratulations!
